Help with Housing Search
Section 8 clients can get help getting into housing if they are having trouble with credit or other issues. They will learn the best way to present themselves and their past rental, credit and employment history. Limited help is available for actual housing search. Clients can access a computer in the front lobby that they can use for housing search on the internet. Please contact Amber F. at 237-1907.

Budget Classes
The Housing Authority of Billings offers Budgeting classes for all Section 8 clients. If you are interested in getting a better grip on your finances please call Teddi Shorten at 237-1911. This class will help you set up a budget book and help you learn how to manage your money.

Deposit help for HAB Section 8 clients
The Housing Authority of Billings (HAB) can offer local Section 8 clients help with a loan for deposit if they are trying to lease up when they first receive Section 8 or if they move while receiving assistance. Please contact Amber F. at 237-1907.

Community Referrals
All Section 8 clients who need help finding helping agencies or other resources for their families can call Teddi Shorten at 237-1911. Calls are confidential and clients will be directed to agency, website or indiviual who may be able to assist them.
